Knitting and fibre fun is all the rage

Been a while since I last posted. Life has been hectic and sadly I have not had the time I would have liked to spend time of things I love the most.
That has to change.

I have been working on more projects. I finished a lovely top and gifted it to my Mum for her birthday in early November. She was delighted with it.

I am kicking myself for not having taken a photo of it. It was a simple top with a lacy pattern - and while I followed a pattern, I adapted it to make it more wearable. The pattern called ... oh - hang on - I can't think what it is and I can't find it right now. I'll pop back later and edit this when I think of it.

I have been knitting us a garment - not following a pattern, but letting the yarn show me the way. I'm using 6mm circular needles with a lovely cotton/acrylic boucle yarn. Emu cotton acrylic yarn. I've been knitting it mostly in the car in peak hour traffic while hubby drives. I've really been enjoying the feel of cotton under my fingers for a change.

Also been busy spinning up some gorgeous rovings I ordered via the Aussie Bale Project. This is stunning - Moorit plus silk. gorgeous beige with sheen from the silk coming through. it is a dream to spinning and ply. I'm sure it will equally be a pleasure to knit too.

I'll post up pictures soon. Just a bit tired tonight - but I wanted to do a post tonight to get back into the swing of things.

Until next time, be happy and smile.
