Hello there! :)
I've not written for a few months. I've been busy knitting, some spinning and working at different projects as well as working f/time.
I'm really going to have to win lotto to get me some more me time which = time for my fibre crafts! :)
There is a project I would like to share here - it is in emerald green and I've finished it to coincide with St Patrick's Day! Yes, I may be an Aussie, but I do have Irish ancestry (as well as German, Scottish, English and goodness knows what else). Come St Patrick's day, I always make a bit of effort to wear something green, or with green in it.
This is a sample of the garment I've been creating. In reality the colour is much greener - a beautiful emerald green. It is in cotton in a simple lace pattern. It is basically 3 pieces - a back, and two front side panels, to make up a little cap sleeved jacket. I will sew it up in the next day - hopefully later tonight in fact and will post a photo of it made up.
I might put it in my shop - Snickella on etsy, but I'm undecided.
What are you working on? I will have to start getting on with winter woolies soon. I've enjoyed knitting with light summer yarns the last few months.
Because I like to work on something small for my commute to and from work, I am presently also working on a pretty little teapot cosy. I'm using some Anny Blatt yarn in a soft yellow, which is 100% pure wool. One of my darling friends gifted to me some yarn her late Mum had in storage. My plan is to gift the tea pot cosy to my friend - I know she loves her cups of tea in beautiful tea cups and saucers.
I'll post a picture of that also when I have done alittle more to show up the pretty pattern. I love it. I think my friend will too.
I better get off here, but I'll be back again soon. In the meantime, happy knitting, crafting etc and be well and happy. :) .
